Nationals of the U.S.A. are allowed to enter with an expired passport.

Additional information:

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) pre-embarkation inspection:
- will take place when coming directly from Guam or Virgin Isl.;
- may take place when coming directly from Puerto Rico.

The following regulations apply to children/minors:

Children younger than 16 years and who are nationals of USA are not allowed to enter the USA on their parents passports.

Minors traveling unaccompanied, or accompanied by one parent or a person other than parent/legal guardian, can prevent possible delays if holding a notarized letter of authorization signed by absent parent(s). For more details refer to https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/3643/kw .

Important:

Passengers entering or transiting through the USA must have a negative COVID-19 test taken at most 1 day before departure from the first embarkation point. Tests accepted are: antigen, NAAT, RT-LAMP, RT-PCR or TMA.

This does not apply to passengers younger than 2 years.

This does not apply to passengers with a positive COVID-19 test taken at most 90 days before departure from the first embarkation point; and
- a letter issued by a health authority stating that the passenger has been cleared for travel.

This does not apply to passengers younger than 2 years.

Passengers could be subject to self-isolation or self-quarantine.
- This does not apply to:
- passengers with a COVID-19 recovery certificate proving recovery in the past 90 days;
- passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 15 days (day of vaccination + 14 days) before arrival. Passenger details (e.g., name and date of birth) in the certificate must match those stated in the passport/travel document.
- Vaccines accepted are AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Covaxin, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm and Sinovac. A combination of these vaccines is accepted if administered at least 17 days apart.

Passengers entering or transiting through Virgin Isl. (USA) must have a travel certification obtained at https://usvitravelportal.com/ at most 5 days before departure from the first embarkation point. This will generate a green QR code which must be presented before boarding.

This does not apply to passengers younger than 5 years arriving from Guam, Northern Mariana Isl., Puerto Rico or USA.

This does not apply to passengers younger than 2 years arriving from a country other than Guam, Northern Mariana Isl., Puerto Rico or USA .

Passengers entering or transiting through Virgin Isl. must have a negative COVID-19 test taken at most 1 day before departure from the first embarkation point. Tests accepted are: antigen, NAAT, RT-LAMP, RT-PCR or TMA.

This does not apply to passengers younger than 2 years.

This does not apply to passengers arriving from Guam, Northern Mariana Isl., Puerto Rico or USA.

Passengers who are arriving from Guam, Northern Mariana Isl., Puerto Rico or USA and who are entering or transiting through Virgin Isl. must have a negative COVID-19 test taken at most 3 days before departure from the first embarkation point. Tests accepted are: antigen, NAAT, RT-LAMP, RT-PCR or TMA.

This does not apply to passengers younger than 5 years.

Passengers traveling with Delta Air Lines must complete an OFAC form. The form must state the reason for travel to Cuba.
