Egypt - Destination Passport

Passport required.

Document validity rules:

Passports and other documents accepted for entry must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the arrival date.

The following regulations apply to children/minors:

Passengers younger than 16 years do not need a separate passport if they are registered in the passport of a parent or a guardian that does not contain a machine-readable zone.

Egypt - Destination Visa

Visa required.

The following are exempt from holding a visa:

Nationals of Indonesia who are spouses and children of Egyptian nationals.

Accepted proof of Egyptian nationality is: (copy of) a birth certificate, passport or national ID card of the relative.

Sons and daughters born to an Egyptian father.

Accepted proof of Egyptian nationality is: (copy of) a birth certificate, passport or national ID card of the relative.

Sons and daughters of an Egyptian mother if born after 25 July 2004.

Accepted proof of Egyptian nationality is: (copy of) a birth certificate, passport or national ID card of the relative.

Visa issuance:

Passengers with a valid and used visa issued by Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, USA, United Kingdom or a Schengen Member State can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 30 days.

Nationals of Indonesia traveling as part of an organized tourist group if:
- the tourist group consists of at least 15 people and;
- holding a signed guarantee letter from an authorized Egyptian travel agency.

Important:

Passengers with a travel document with gender "U" or "X" must have confirmation that their entry has been approved before departure by the Ministry of Interior.
